Emergency Insider: The Scoop on Crime Response, Investigation, and Prosecution

Description
Join BOMA/Chicago to hear from leaders at the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), Chicago Police Department (CPD), and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office about behind-the-scenes procedures related to incidents of crime starting from the first call to 911 and culminating through prosecution. In addition to security directors and staffs, we encourage property managers, property management teams, and building engineers to attend this event. Building members are also welcome to invite tenants to attend (all attendees must be registered by BOMA/Chicago members).
Speakers:
- Beverly Carrington, with the OEMC 911 Center, will discuss 911 response, questions, preparation, and prioritization of calls.
- CPD Commander Robert Rubio, Sergeant Pete Best and Sergeant Pete Devine, will discuss police response and the investigation process related to property crimes and violent crimes.
- Assistant State’s Attorney Danny Hanichak will discuss the prosecution process.
