Join us for Labor 101 to gain insight into how our labor agreements are structured, the advantages they offer for your building operations, and how BOMA/Chicago advocates for labor policies that support our members.
BOMA/Chicago is one of a select few BOMA local associations that directly negotiate with unions on behalf of its members. Through our Labor Committee, we secure agreements that govern wages, benefits, and working conditions for janitorial, engineering, and security professionals. These agreements provide key advantages, including flexibility in subcontracting, workweek scheduling, and pension and benefit structures.
Beyond contract negotiations, BOMA/Chicago actively monitors labor law developments, leveraging our advocacy efforts, Labor Committee expertise, and legal counsel to shape policies that impact our industry.
Agenda:
- 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Registration & Lunch
- 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM | Presentation by Cozen O'Connor & BOMA/Chicago Labor Committee
- 12:45 PM – 1:00 PM | Q&A Session
