Join SEIU Local 1 as they host a free webinar for BOMA/Chicago members that will discuss the Green Janitor Education Program (GJEP). Learn how you can bring this program to your building – at no cost to you – to reduce your energy consumption.

The SEIU Local 1 Green Janitor Education Program is a 30-hour class hosted at your building for your janitorial team. The program covers energy and water conservation, health and safety, green cleaning practices, recycling and waste diversion. During the program, your janitorial team will learn how to implement best practices to aid in building energy conservation.

The Green Janitor Education Program began in 2016 as a collaboration between the U.S. Green Building Council and SEIU, and has now successfully trained hundreds of janitors in over seven states. Those who went through training were able to reduce energy consumption in their buildings by an average of 5.6%.
